The Miracle Jar

Laura writes:

"I stopped writing. There was too much going on in my days to relive it on the page at night. The most I could manage was a few scribbles on scrap paper stuffed into a Miracle Jar, a recent gift from my mom. I'd write out my fears and place them in the jar. This new practice was a life-saving one. Was it possible to ask for too many miracles? I ran my finger along the word Miracles...It was a solid container of swirling waves of blue, its dappled clay ridges cool to my touch. I imagined it was deep enough to hold not only my worries but my dreams as well..."
